Keflavik is a small airport, on what appears to be a spit of land just outside of Reykjavik. It's nice, after DIA's side. Nice wooden floors, lots of benches, friendly staff. The transfer times are really short--we had a little over an hour--but it wasn't a problem at all. I think all flights in and out are Icelandair, so they know how to plan.
We liked Icelandair for a lot of reasons, including USB charging ports and TV screens at every seat. And if you want to take a few days and stay in Iceland before you go on to your destination, there's no extra charge.
We also liked the Dyson faucets in the restrooms, of which I forgot to take a picture, drat. They are faucet and dryer in one. Water comes out of the middle, air out of wings coming off the faucet. Great design.
It's midnight CO time, but 7:00a in Reyjkavik. So we are trying to keep ourselves awake. "Everything is hay in hard times" refers to winters in Iceland, when hay is essential for simply surviving the hard times of winter.
Next stop, Amsterdam!
