Why Belgium? Well, all three of us have had a parent die fairly recently, so we decided we want to get out of town for Christmas. We considered London, but we've been there before. None of the three of us have been to Belgium. And we all like beer, chocolate, frites and mussels, all things that Belgium is known for. It's perfect!
We leave Wednesday, flying Icelandair from Denver to Amsterdam through Keflavik Airport in Reykjavik. Unfortuntely, we'll only be in Iceland for an hour so won't be able to see much of it. From Amsterdam we take a train to Antwerp, then on to Brussels, Ghent, Bruges, and back to Amsterdam for the flight home, again through Reykjavik.
